At Vegetarian Clearinghouse, this is our go-to mixing bowl. It's the perfect size for mixing up pancake batter or muffins, and it is straight-sided, which makes whipping with a hand-held mixer a breeze. We use it with a strainer to make Greek yogurt, and we even cook rice in the microwave in it, with a plate on top. The handle design minimizes "hot handle syndrome" very effectively.
