Recommended: Revereware Pots & Pans

Revere 1400 Line 7-Piece Set Yup, these are the pans our mothers used. We have tried many other brands and styles, and we keep coming back to the old Revereware set. The great thing, in this age of energy-economy, is that the pans heat up quickly because they are not super thick and heavy like many brands. This is especially true with glass-top ranges, which heat up slowly. Beautiful stainless steel, copper-clad bottoms, and handles that don't get hot. We even wash ours in the dishwasher.

Just a note: don't put cold water or anything else cold in one of these pans when it's still hot. The bottom will warp, making it a bit hard to use on a glass-top range.
